10:11 ET -- Adobe is one of the most mentioned companies in the U.S. across all news items in the past 12 hours, according to Factiva data. Adobe posted a bigger-than-expected jump in quarterly profit and sales and raised its annual guidance. The software provider reported a profit of $1.57 billion, or $3.49 a share, in the quarter ended May 31. Analysts polled by FactSet had expected a per-share profit of $3.40. Revenue rose 10% to $5.31 billion, beating the $5.29 billion expected by analysts. Adobe raised its revenue forecast to $21.4 billion to $21.5 billion for the year. Dow Jones & Co. owns Factiva.
