Visa, Mastercard Swipe-Fee Deal With Retailers May Be Rejected, Bloomberg Reports

-- Visa's and Mastercard's settlement with retailers to cap swipe fees is unlikely to be approved, Bloomberg reported.

-- A federal judge in Brooklyn at a hearing on Thursday indicated that she won't approve the agreement, Bloomberg reported, citing court records.

-- The judge is expected to make an official decision in the coming days, according to Bloomberg.

-- According to terms of the agreement released in March, the deal would have let merchants charge consumers extra in transactions involving Visa or Mastercard credit cards, Bloomberg said.
