Danaher Names Martin Stumpe Chief Data & Artificial Intelligence Officer
By Colin Kellaher
Danaher has named Martin Stumpe to the newly created post of chief data & artificial intelligence officer, as the life-sciences giant increases its investment in AI.
Danaher on Wednesday said Stumpe most recently served as chief of AI at Tempus AI, a medical technology platform that uses artificial intelligence to process medical data and has filed for an initial public offering.
Danaher said it is increasingly focusing on AI through inorganic investment, strengthening internal capabilities and collaborating with academic institutions.
The Washington D.C. company said Stumpe's experience in using AI to drive scientific and operational progress will be critical in further supporting the company's AI and data strategy.
