Capital One Financial, Walmart End Exclusive Credit Card Partnership
By Sabela Ojea
Capital One Financial and Walmart said they have terminated their exclusive card partnership.
Capital One Financial will no longer be the exclusive issuer of Walmart consumer credit cards, the companies said Friday.
Carholders can continue to use their Capital One Walmart Rewards Card wherever Mastercard is accepted, and the Walmart Rewards Card for purchases at Walmart.
Capital One will retain ownership and servicing of the credit card accounts.
The end of the agreement comes about five years after the parties introduced the Capital One Walmart rewards credit card program.
