Virtus SGA Emerging Markets Equity A HEMZX

Rob Rohn, a longtime comanager of SGA’s emerging markets equity strategy, plans to retire on Sept. 30, 2025, and will step off the fund on March 31, 2025. Rohn is one of three co-founders of SGA, so his departure is meaningful, but the remaining managers—and a new addition—should preserve continuity. Alexandra Lee will join the fund’s portfolio management team and work alongside Kishore Rao and H.K. Gupta, who have been comanagers on the strategy since its 2014 inception. Lee is a firm veteran, having joined SGA in 2004, and she is well-versed in its quality growth approach. She has also been a named comanager on SGA’s international growth strategy since 2015 together with Tucker Brown and Kishore Rao. With Rohn, the firm is losing a veteran contributor, but his retirement is not unexpected and the transition has been in the works for some time. Rohn’s retirement does not change the Average People Pillar or the Morningstar Medalist Ratings of the fund.
