Antero Resources Earnings: Maintenance Development Plan Again Upended by Strong Well Performance

No moat Antero posted earnings per share in line with PitchBook consensus while disappointing on revenue because of weaker natural gas prices. Like most natural gas players, Antero has been grappling with extended gas price weakness. However, pivoting development toward natural gas liquids, or NGLs, has helped it improve financial performance. Even so, we are reducing our fair value to $24 from $25 almost entirely because of weak commodity prices.
