Before joining Morningstar in September 2013, Lamont was a research analyst at Mergermarket, where he covered the infrastructure finance sector, and an associate at Markit, where he held an operational role within the portfolio valuations team.

Lamont holds a master’s degree in business economics and marketing from the University of Dundee and a master’s degree in investment, banking, and finance from the University of Glasgow. Jackie Choy is director of passive investment ratings for Morningstar Asia Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary of Morningstar, Inc. He is responsible for the overall leadership of Morningstar's global research and ratings for passive investment strategies. Choy was previously Morningstar's director of exchange-traded fund research in Asia.

Prior to joining Morningstar in 2012, Choy was an investment analyst covering Hong Kong real estate securities for Cohen & Steers. Before joining Cohen & Steers in 2010, he was a research analyst for Nomura/Lehman Brothers, covering Hong Kong and China real estate securities.

Choy has a master's degree in mathematical sciences from the University of Oxford. He is a fellow member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants and holds the Chartered Financial Analyst® designation.
