KLA raises its quarterly dividend by 17%

The board of KLA (KLAC) has increased the company's quarterly dividend by 17%, to $1.70 a share.

The Milpitas, Calif., company, which makes equipment for the semiconductor industry, said Tuesday that the new dividend, up from $1.45 a share, is expected to be declared in November.

It will be the company's fifteenth consecutive annual increase of its quarterly dividend.

On an annualized basis, the new payout is $6.80 a share and represents a yield of about 0.9% based on Tuesday's closing price of $741.43.
