DigitalBridge, Silver Lake lead $6.4B investment in Vantage Data Centers
Denver-based portfolio company Vantage Data Centers said Tuesday it's receiving a $6.4 billion equity investment led by private-equity firms DigitalBridge Group Inc. (DBRG) and Silver Lake. Vantage Data Centers plans to invest $30 billion to develop data centers. Vantage Data Center Chief Executive Sureel Choksi said cloud computing, AI and related technologies "are driving unprecedented demand for digital infrastructure." The transactions are expected to close in the first quarter of 2024, subject to customary closing conditions. The investment comes 14 years after Silver Lake launched Vantage as a single data center campus in Santa Clara, Calif. DigitalBridge's stock was down 2.4% on Tuesday.
