LVMH's Givenchy Taps Sarah Burton as Creative Director
By Adria Calatayud
LVMH Moet Hennessy Louis Vuitton's Givenchy brand appointed Sarah Burton, a British designer who most recently was creative director at Alexander McQueen, as its new creative head.
The French brand said Monday that Burton will be tasked with leading the creative direction of all of its women's and men's collections. Her appointment is effective immediately, Givenchy said.
Burton has spent her career at Alexander McQueen, part of French luxury group Kering. She joined the company in 1996, became head of design in 2000 and was promoted to creative director in 2010. She left the company in October last year after 13 years as the brand's creative director.
Burton will present her first collection for Givenchy in March 2025, the brand said.
