By Nina Kienle
Airbus received a helicopter order from the Republic of Iraq.
The European plane maker said Friday that the order is for 12 multi-role H225 helicopters, set to replace older Mi-17s for a wider range of missions.
Deliveries will start in 2025, the plane maker said.
The contract was signed in Baghdad by the Minister of Defense of Iraq in presence of the French Ambassador, it said.
Financial details weren't disclosed.
