Daimler Truck Taps Karin Radstrom to Replace Martin Daum as Chair

By Christian Moess Laursen

Daimler Truck appointed Karin Radstrom as the new chairwoman, replacing Martin Daum from Oct. 1.

The German truck-and-bus maker said late Wednesday that Radstrom--who has been a member of the board since December 2021--will remain responsible for the Europe and Latin America regions and the Mercedes-Benz Truck brand until her successor has been named.

Daum will step down as chairman after mutual agreement on Sept. 30 and leave the management board at the end of the year, shortly before the end of his regular term. Until then, Daum will retain his responsibility inter alia for the areas of Financial Services, Daimler Buses and IT.

Radstrom, a Swedish national, has been appointed to the board until 2029, the company said.

The shuffle was decided following a meeting of the supervisory board on Wednesday.
