Illinois Tool Works Raises Dividend by 7.1%

Illinois Tool Works is raising its dividend, increasing its quarterly payout to $1.50 a share from $1.40 a share.
The new payout, equal to $6 a year, represents an annual yield of about 2.5%, based on Thursday's closing price of $242.26.
The company said Friday that the dividend would be payable on Oct. 11 to shareholders of record on Sept. 30.
