GSK Reaches Another Settlement Over Individual Heartburn Drug Lawsuit

By Michael Susin

GSK said it reached a confidential settlement with plaintiff Ronald Kimbrow, resolving a case related to its discontinued heartburn medicine Zantac in the Illinois state court, without disclosing further details.

The British pharmaceutical company on Monday said it will continue to vigorously defend itself and manage this litigation in the best interests of the company and shareholders.

"GSK does not admit any liability in this settlement. The case will now be dismissed as to GSK," it added.
