A.O. Smith to Buy Pureit From Unilever for About $120 Million

A.O. Smith has struck a deal to buy residential water-purification company Pureit from Anglo-Dutch multisector retailer Unilever for about $120 million.
A.O. Smith on Monday said Pureit has annual sales of about $60 million, primarily in India.
Milwaukee water-technology company A.O. Smith, which has forecast 2024 sales of $3.97 billion to $4.05 billion, said the acquisition doubles its market penetration in South Asia.
The deal is slated to close by the end of the year.
