Suncor Energy Chair Wilson to Step Down; Girling Named as Successor
By Sabela Ojea
Suncor Energy said Wednesday that Chair Michael Wilson wouldn't be standing for re-election at the sustainable energy company's upcoming annual general meeting.
The Canadian company said that it named board member Russ Girling as Wilson's successor, effective March 15.
Girling, who most recently worked as the chair of Suncor's human resources and compensation committee, served as chief executive of TransCanada Pipelines and TC Energy before joining the board in 2021.
