HCA Legal Chief Promoted to New Role in Organizational Shift
By Dean Seal
The chief legal officer of HCA Healthcare has been promoted to an expanded role as part of an organizational shift in the company's leadership team.
The Nashville-based company said Tuesday that Michael McAlevey has been promoted to executive vice president and chief legal and administrative officer. In the expanded role, he will manage the organization's enterprise risk and external affairs, HCA said.
The company is changing its reporting structure, with HCA's three operating groups now reporting directly to Chief Operating Officer Jon Foster.
Chief Information Officer Chad Wasserman and Mike Schlosser, senior vice president of care transformation and innovation, will now report directly to Chief Executive Sam Hazen, and recently appointed Chief Financial Officer Mike Marks will assume responsibilities for all areas, except information technology, that currently report to the CFO position.
