Liberty Global is a holding company that fully or partially owns interests in European telecommunication businesses, including in the U.K. (Virgin Media O2), Netherlands (VodafoneZiggo), Switzerland (UPC-Sunrise), and Belgium (Telenet). The firm also owns smaller businesses in Ireland and Slovakia. Liberty is known for showing rational behavior in the markets it operates, a positive in the highly competitive telecom industry.
